Window 18

This tall six-light Perpendicular window holds the important position behind the high altar.
A transom cuts right across the lights with pointed arches beneath, whilst the tops of the lights end in ogee arches. These ogee points continue upwards as mullions and the lower mullions are also extended so that the six-light window effectively becomes twelve-light in the tracery.

This window has four smaller transoms in the tracery. The general grid effect is somewhat relieved by the sub-arches and the use of Y-tracery
