A transition from Geometrical
tracery into the Flowing style
Starting from a grid of touching circles, a network of ogee tile
shapes can be formed to fill a large expanse of tracery. The effect
is like wire netting and this type of tracery is called
Reticulated.

Examples of large windows with Reticulated tracery exist in
other churches but at St.Wulfram's the windows of the North Porch
exhibit this pattern on a small scale.
Once the basic elements of reticulated tracery had been adopted,
it was not long before they became twisted and combined in the most
intricate of patterns of Flowing tracery belonging to the Decorated
period of church architecture.
