This grand six-light window has two sub-arches embracing three
lights each. This leaves room for three circles under each sub-arch
but, in order to support the lower pair of circles, the head of the
central light of each set of three has to be a little taller than
its neighbours.
The crowning circle of the window is so large that there is space
to accommodate a set of seven equal circles, six clustering around
the central one.

From the outside it is not easy to see that these circles have
foils but from inside the church it will be seen that the circles
in the crown in fact have quatrefoils (aligned as shown) and the
slightly larger circles under the sub-arches have cinquefoils.
