This window is uniform in style and the theme is distinctly
botanical.
The tracery under each sub-arch resembles a plant with three giant
leaves growing from a stalk formed by one of the mullions.
The central part of the tracery again gives the impression of a
tree or exotic plant but this time the stem stands on top of the
central light whose mullions take on the role of the plant's
roots.
These botanical descriptions may seem rather fanciful but they
are inescapable. Edward Freeman, commenting on Flowing tracery in
the 1850s states that it is "impossible to avoid the belief that a
direct imitation of vegetable life had great influence on its
production".
